What is BandwidthCamp?
That’s a very good question and one I plan to answer. First, welcome to the new and imported site. It has been an interesting journey to get here but the real work is only just beginning. BandwidthCamp is a blog about video games, and marketing and how you go from one side of the field to the other. In today’s crazy world, good enough isn’t just cutting it anymore. You’ve to look and go beyond the hype to really get your message out there.
BandwidthCamp is the central online hub for advertisers, ad agencies, public relation reps, entrepreneurs, and good samaritans from around the globe. We live in a global community now and those boarders that governments talk about are coming down. If you are looking to market your video game then you’ve come to the right place. And even if you are not, you just might find a great idea you can twist around and use to promote your own product(s).
Who am I? I’m Duane Brown and I use to work for DreamCatcher Games in 2005 - 2006. I cut my teeth there as their public relations to go guy and learned more then I could have even wanted to. Both in school and for the last couple years I’ve been freelancing. Everyone I know wants to get in the video game industry and it was a smart move for myself to specialize within our industry. I’ve a lot to say and decided to relaunch this as a specialized blog only covering marketing and video games and everything that would, could and should go with that (this blog use to be called Innovation+Imagination).
So what is this blog really about? BandwidthCamp is the blog about getting and staying connected to today’s gamer. Marketing doesn’t have to be a bad thing. When done right, it’s a work of art and something people love. BandwidthCamp features tips, marketing strategies, product reviews, reader questions and more. We’re not a general video game blog like my friends at Kotaku or GayGamer.net, but we still hope we can help you connect with those blogs and their community in different ways.
